A former student of legendary saxophonists Gerry Niewood and Frank Foster, Ken has performed for many years as both leader and sideman with various jazz and pop ensembles in the greater New York area.  He has also toured with several nationally known artists as well as composing and performing incidental music to the highly acclaimed Off-Broadway set of short plays entitled “Close Enough for Jazz”.   Recordings include “Musings”, a duo album with guitarist Monroe Quinn and a solo LP entitled “Soliloquies”.  Originally from Newark, NJ, Ken has lived most of his adult life in Staten Island, NY and Stratford, CT.  He currently resides in Georgetown (DE).

Born in New York City, Vincent is currently a resident of Milton (DE), coming here by way of northern New Jersey where he performed on piano and vocals for years with his 6- and 8-piece show band, A Touch of Class. In that time he worked with many outstanding musicians and vocalists performing music across eras from the '40s to the '90s and styles ranging from big band, ensemble jazz and Motown to Top 40.

Ken Schleifer is a lifelong professional drummer/percussionist/vocalist who has had the opportunity to perform in many musical groups from a small jazz trio to big bands, classic and modern rock, R&B, blues, latin, and contemporary pop bands all over the East Coast. He is very happy to be back to furthering his passion for playing with great musicians in a jazz trio format with 5th Avenue.
