A former student of legendary saxophonists Gerry Niewood and Frank Foster, for many years Ken has performed as both leader and sideman with various jazz and pop ensembles.  Appearing mainly in the greater New York area, Ken has also toured with several nationally known artists.   Recordings include “Musings,” an album with guitarist Monroe Quinn, as well as a solo LP entitled “Soliloquies."  Ken has composed  and performed incidental music to the highly acclaimed Off-Broadway set of short plays,  “Close Enough for Jazz”  and done original music and sound design for the Possum Point Players' production of "A Raisin In the Sun" in Georgetown, Delaware.  Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Ken has lived most of his adult life in Staten Island, New York and Stratford, Connecticut.  He currently resides in Georgetown, Delaware.

Ken Schleifer is a lifelong professional drummer, percussionist and vocalist.   Ken has had the great opportunity to perform all over the East Coast in many musical groups.  He has played in a small jazz trio and a big band, in a classic rock band and a modern rock band, been part of  R&B, blues, and Latin groups, as well as contemporary pop bands.  At this time, however, Ken is very happy to be back furthering his passion for jazz, playing with the 5th Avenue trio.

Jeff Cooper has been a professional bassist his entire adult life. From jazz to rock, classical to pop and musical theatre, Jeff has performed at the Kennedy Center, National and Ford theaters, Wolf Trap Center for the Performing Arts, and in Baltimore at the Hippodrome Theater. His variety band, Tuxedo Junction, performed extensively at Presidential Inaugural Balls, corporate and private parties, weddings, and society galas throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area. In 2005, Jeff began his Broadway career as principal bassist for "The Woman in White," "LoveMusik," "Ragtime" and "Evita." In 2016 Jeff expanded his musical talents with his jazz-influenced duo "Notes on the Beach," playing at Rehoboth, Bethany, and Ocean City restaurants, clubs, and private events. A native of Washington, DC, Jeff is a graduate of the prestigious Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD.
